My friends Kim and John invited me over to the house tonight for Hanukkah and latkes. I am not Jewish and therefore, have never celebrated Hanukkah or had latkes. I wasn't sure what to expect. I thought they would be like fried hash browns. Instead, they were more doughy and like an oatmeal cake. You eat with either sour cream or applesauce over top. I had them both ways and they were really good. We also had rotisserie chicken and brisket. Mmmmmm. Everything was delicious!To all of my Jewish blog friends, Happy Hanukkah! :)
